Gambit overcame Virtus.pro in the CIS finale, and Renegades savaged through ORDER in Oceania.

Starting in the CIS region, Gambit at first seemed to struggle, before coming from behind to take down Virtus 3-1 in a best of five. Gambit, who also won the coveted IEM Katowice earlier in the year move to second in the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) standings, which will later be used to determine who gets to go to the lone Major occurring towards the end of the year in Stockholm.

Gambit over the course of EPIC League played through 9 matches, where they played 21 rounds of Counter Strike, dropping just 6 of them and winning 15, losing just two matches one to Spirit and one to Natus. The current CIS powerhouse en route also ended Akuma's miracle run where they managed to take down not just Virtus.pro, but also wrestled down Natus Vincere too, before Gambit saw down a 2-0 against them. Gambit take away $15,000 and 1,600 RMR points from this tournament. The top 8 teams all gain RMR points, however the 5th place decider between Entropiq & Natus Vincere has been postponed for now, so taking that into account, the top 8, and RMR points are; Gambit (1600), Virtus.pro (1500), Akuma  (1400), Spirit (1300), [TBD] (1200), [TBD] (1100), forZe (950) & K23 (950).

Moving over to Oceania, Renegades had a long haul with ORDER who repeatedly pushed them to overtime through the best of 3 finale. Firstly to 16-19 on Inferno, and then 17-19 on Dust2. Just like Gambit in the CIS area, Renegades had an impressive run dropping just a single match, also to ORDER on the path to the Grand Final. For Oceania, this was the first RMR event, meaning that Renegades not only won this tournaments prize of $5,000 but also the 1,600 RMR points place them top of the RMR league for the region. The top 4 teams here were Renegades, ORDER, Rooster & Dire Wolves who have now all gained RMR points, 1600, 1500, 1400 & 1300 respectively.
