In a 3-0 best of five Grand Final, Extra Salt took no prisoners when taking down O PLANO. Despite the name meaning 'The Plan' in Portuguese, O PLANO simply failed to figure their plan out when it mattered, giving Extra Salt the victory, $35,000 and an invite to IEM Fall 2021 North America play-in to be played later on in the year, where teams will compete for a place in the $250,000 main event of IEM Fall.

At the map picking/banning phase, Extra Salt picked Vertigo & Overpass, with O PLANO taking Dust 2 & Inferno, leaving Nuke for a decider if needed, however, the Nuke & Inferno fans were left saddened when Extra Salt took the maps in quick succession, meaning nothing beyond Overpass needed playing. O PLANO did progressively better on each map, although in each Extra Salt would find the advantages repeatedly, leaving O PLANO out in the cold. Vertigo was a quick affair after O PLANO clawed out just two rounds to Salt's 16, before a pep talk woke up the Brazillian side, at least somewhat, allowing them to go up to 9 to 16 next on Dust2, stealing O PLANO's pick and being the first major crash and burn predicament for them. On the final map, Overpass, O PLANO finally looked promising on the CT side, ending the first half 10-5 in what was the first serious concern for Extra Salt of the match. Undeterred they came back from the switchover break and smacked O PLANO back down to the town of misery they'd just escaped from, ending the match breaking a sweat only briefly on their path to the 3-0 victory. Extra Salt will now need to play the winner of DreamHack Open September, NA region, to determine which of them progresses further in IEM Fall.

Meanwhile, over in the Asia division of the event, Renewal overcame Checkmate, and will be invited to IEM Fall directly, rather than a play-in 2021, as well as a prize of $16,000.
