Beyond The Summit have announced the return of their 'cs_summit' tournament, the 7th incarnation.

The tournament will be Europe based, and feature a hard hitting line up of 12 teams, which are; MIBR, FURIA, Complexity, Heroic, mousesports, OG, FaZe, Cloud9, Dignitas, Virtus.pro, fnatic & Ninjas in Pyjamas

The latest edition is set to start and run from January 25th, to the 31st, neatly winding down the first month of 2021 in CSGO esports.

The 12 teams will be battling out for a portion of a prize pot totalling $200,000,

Unlike last years cs_summit 6, this tournament will not be split between parts of the world, such as a 'Europe' & 'North America' division, this time just being Europe, and it will not serve as a Regional Major Rankings (RMR) event for the PGL major later in the year.

This event will see MIBR & Cloud9 unveiling and playing their first matches with their new squads, after a switchup of rosters for them. Meanwhile FURIA, Heroic & OG will be looking to start 2021 with the same zeal and performances we saw in the latter half of 2020.

Beyond The Summit have also announced the casters and talent for the streams, and features solid fan favourites 'BARDOLPH' & 'ddk' on the main streams, meanwhile on secondary duties we have 'Wolfy' & 'Skriv'. Also appearing will be 'Fifflaren', 'JustHarry' & Hugo Byron.

Previous cs_summit events have had many surprise wins, and losses. Mousesports came through to win cs_summit 5 back in late 2019, making the 5th edition one of the last events to occur before the pandemic set hold upon us. G2 & OG also performed well at that outing. Skip forward 6 months, and in June 2020, at the 6th edition of the summit, BIG performed strong during their sudden winning streak during the 'online' era, bagging 1st place in the Europe area, with mousesports crashing into 15th place after their win in the previous edition. OG & Heroic came in 3rd & 4th respectively that year.

With OG, Mousesports & Heroic returning for the 7th edition. Mouz will be looking to climb the ladder and push aside the disastrous performance of prior, and Heroic & OG looking to push harder into the 1st place they so narrowly missed out on last time around. Whatever happens, we'll be guaranteed 6 days of carnage!
