BLAST has released the seedings & initial matches for the Premier Spring Showdown, due to start in just a few days on 13th April.

After last minute changes to the OG submission on team members, they have been seeded 16th, the lowest in the 16 team event, which rather unfortunately for OG, now puts them against Astralis in their first match. Other initial matches include the Brazilian stalwarts of MIBR & FURIA going face to face, and a well performing as of recent Dignitas taking on Liquid.

Also announced, is the talent lineup, everyone watching the live casts can look forward to Anders "⁠Anders⁠" Blume,  Auguste "⁠Semmler⁠" Massonnat &  Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez as the on-air team. On the analyst desk, we have Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche & Maniac. With the panel being hosted by Freya "Freya" Spiers. 

With a combined prize pool of $162,500, the top two performing teams here get $30,000 and an invite to the BLAST Premier Spring Final which will take place in mid-June. All teams at this showdown stage will leave with some amount of money, with the third & fourth getting $16,250, and then slowly going down to $3,750 for the teams in 9th to 16th place. Waiting in the wings already at the Spring Final for the two winners here, are Natus Vincere, BIG, Complexity, NIP, Evil Geniuses & FaZe, the two entries from this competition will face further rough battles in the Spring Final. The team who dominates in the Spring Final in June will be rolling in the money with the $425,000 prize
