With the winter player break soon to be over, top tier Counter Strike will shortly return on through BLAST Premier Global Finals on January 19th, with a prize pot of $1,000,000, getting straight back into the prize pool for some teams.
Eight teams will attend, half got here through winning previous events, and the other half from their BLAST Rankings. Competing in a double elimination bracket, all matches are due to be best of 3, including the finals.
The teams are Astralis, Vitality, Natus Vincere, FURIA, Complexity, Liquid, Evil Geniuses & G2.
Here's the plan of action so far, from the initial draws of the tournament;
It all kicks off at 15:30 on 19th January, with the #1 side Astralis taking on Evil Geniuses. Following on from that, FURIA & G2 Esports will do battle to wrap up the first action packed day.
Day 2 will take us to Complexity vs Vitality at the earlier start of 12:30. Followed by Na'Vi & Liquid doing the rounds 3 hours after at 15:30. Ending the day, will be the first of the lower bracket matches at 18:30.
