BLAST have announced the initial set of matches, plus the full schedule for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final, which kicks off on 15th June. The eight teams have previously won other BLAST events to qualify for this event, with no one just being given free invites, those teams are NIP, Evil Geniuses, Gambit, G2, BIG, FaZe, Natus Vincere & Complexity.

The announced initial matches are as below, and start with BO3 from the get-go.

  • (15th June) Evil Geniuses vs Gambit
  • (15th June) NIP vs Complexity
  • (16th June) Natus Vincere vs FaZe
  • (16th June) G2 vs BIG

From there, the schedule shall follow a regular Double Elimination Bracket;

  • 16th June - Lower Bracket Round 1
  • 17th June - Lower Bracket Round 1, plus two Upper Semi Finals
  • 18th June - Lower Bracket Round 2 matches
  • 19th June - Lower & Upper Finals
  • 20th June - Consolidation Final & Grand Final

FaZe are yet to announce who will be their fifth in this event after coldzera was benched last week, however the rumour mill has been full engaged, with suggestions FaZe may return to olofmeister, who left in February of this year, whether that will turn out a permanent replacement or for the duration of this event is unknown though. Whatever happens, FaZe will be hoping their luck turns around after a whole heap of poor results has blighted their last several month. There is also some debate over who will play for NIP, with their latest player LNZ, recently fetched over from the Young Ninja's squad, it'll be announced later to the time if he is able to play in that Grand Final or if there are other factors needed, given LNZ did not previously take part in any of the qualifying matches that saw NIP into the BLAST Spring Final

The winner of the event takes home the grand prize of $225,000 and a place in the BLAST Premier World Final later in the year, where 8 teams will play for a whopping $1,000,000 prize pool, set to occur during mid-December of this year. Only one team is determined so far, Heroic, who won ESL Pro League Season 13. Four other competitors will enter from events occurring during the year, those being the winners of ESL Pro League Season 14, the PGL Major, BLAST Spring Final & BLAST Fall Final, the final three teams will enter based upon their BLAST Ranking closer to the start of the event.
