The Summer Split of the 2021 LCS will begin later this week,
and unlike previous years, it will pick up right where the Spring Split left
off. This summer, all ten teams in the league will start with the same record
they had in the spring.
That's fantastic news for teams like Cloud9, who currently
sit atop the LCS standings with a 13-5 record. The format change certainly
hurts more than it helps other teams, such as the 3-15 Golden Guardians.
The triple round-robin schedule that is coming to the LCS
this summer is another format change compared to previous years—and even the
most recent split. This summer, all LoL teams in the league will play three
times.
Every weekend of the 2021 LCS Summer Split will be broadcast live on the league's YouTube and Twitch channels. Viewers interested in claiming in-game prizes and rewards should tune in to Lolesports.com, where drops will be activated during each LCS game.

Most Anticipated Matches:
Cloud9 vs. 100 Thieves on June 5th,
2021:
After struggling to find a consistent mid laner during the
Spring Split, 100 Thieves signed former Schalke 04 star Abbedagge in one of the
year's biggest roster moves. Abbedagge will be matched up against Perkz, the
best mid laner in the league, in only his second game with the team. Despite
spending two years in the LEC together, Abbedagge and Perkz will meet for the
first time in the mid lane this summer.
TSM vs. Dignitas on June 19th, 2021:
With Cloud9 and Liquid anticipated to dominate the LCS this summer, TSM and Dignitas will have to work hard to burst through the ceiling above them and push their way into the top tier. Dignitas currently has a 2-0 lead over TSM in the 2021 head-to-head.However, after finishing higher in this year's Mid-Season Showdown, TSM will have a chance to dethrone Dignitas once and for all when the two teams meet in week three.
