Epic Games has released the Wakandan Salute Emote for Fortnite to celebrate the legacy of Wakanda’s King. The Emote is available for free to all players, provided that they complete the Wakanda Forever Challenge between December 21st, 2020 and January 12th, 2021.

Wakanda Forever Challenge consists of three simple tasks:

  • Complete at least ten matches in Fortnite.
  • During the event period outlast 500 players across all games.
  • Complete five Duo or Squad games in Fortnite.

In addition, Epic Games released the Marvel Royalty and Warriors Pack which introduced Black Panther, Taskmaster, and Captain Marvel to the game.

The Marvel Royalty and Warriors Pack comes with:

  •  Black Panther: Black Panther Outfit With Kinetically Charged Style, Wakandan Skyrider Glider, King Cowl’s Back Bling with Kinetically Charged Variant Style, and Vibranium Daggers Dual Pickaxe.
  • Captain Marvel: Captain Marvel Outfit with Empowered Variant Style, Power of Mar-Vell Glider, Kree Backplate Back Bling with Empowered Style, and Alpha Staff Pickaxe.
  • Taskmaster: Taskmaster Outfit, Copycat’s Sword Pickaxe, and Mimic Shield Back Bling. 


Fortnite winter festival Operation Snowdown commenced on December 18th, 2020 and will be held until January 5th, 2021. It is a great chance for players to earn free rewards by completing quests. Free rewards includes the snowglobe-topped Frosty Globes Pickaxe, Back Bling and Pickaxe, the perfectly-wrapped Shield Surprise Back Bling, Wraps, and Gliders. Here is the list of challenges and rewards:

  • Get Snowmando Skin by completing Operation Snowdown Quests 9 times.
  • Frost Squad Skin can be acquired by completing Operation Snowdown Quests 12 times. 
  • Visit different Snowmando outposts 5 times to see Frost in Action and receive 10,000XP. 
  • Get a Shield Surprise and 10,000 XP by searching chests at Snowmando outposts 5 times.
  • Earn Snow Strike and 10,000 XP by dancing at different Holiday trees 5 times.
  • Place Top 10 with friends in squads 3 times to earn Snow Steel and 20,000 XP.
  • Receive Blustery Bag and 10,000 XP by destroying Nutcracker statues 5 times. 
  • Travel 5,000 meters in X-4 Stormwings to earn Snowblaster and 10,000 XP.
  • Earn Snowblaster and 10,000 XP by dealing damage at Snowmando outposts 250 times.
  • Shoot down opponent structures with X-4 Stormwings 10 times to receive Winter Wing and 10,000 XP.
  • Get Winter Wing and 10,000 XP by applying ice feet to opponents using Chiller Launcher 10 times.
  • Collect Gold Bars 100 times to receive GG Fresh and 10,000 XP.
  • Catch a Snowy Flopper once to get Toe Pick and 10,000 XP.
  • Revive a player 3 times in different matches to earn Merry Marauding and 20,000 XP.
  • Receive Merry Fishmas by hiding inside a Sneaky Snowmando 3 times in different matches.
  • Play duo or squads with friends to earn Frosty Globes and 20,000 XP.
  • Deal damage with Lever Action Rifle 100 times to get Fish Fest and 10,000 XP.
  • Stoke a campfire twice to receive Confetti and 10,000 XP.

Most of these challenges can be completed solo, but if want to unlock Frost Squad skins you better find a couple of friends to play with during the holidays.
