The
2021 LCS Spring Split has had so many back-and-forth matches so far, FlyQuest
plunged Cloud9 –though just barely. However,
FlyQuest and Cloud9 have performed well and kept their leads in their
respective parts of the game. This includes all the players across the Rift who
seemed to mesh with each other perfectly because most of the players did not
face each other on the LCS Stage. The FlyQuest academy is in the first place of
Summer Split. The roster consisted of FLY’s original roster. This victory will
help to keep the Academy squad on the LCS Stage for a longer duration.
This
newfound power in FLY helps to form a complete roster change made for week six.
They had to find a way out of their 10-game losing streak. So, they brought
their Academy team which had Kumo, Triple, Nxi, Tomo, and Diamond. This was
brought up to the main roster. Cloud9, who were a multi-time former LCS
Champions, FLY seemed as if they had the potential to be one of the better
teams in the LCS. Both FLY and C9 had wonderful moments throughout the game but
due to one vital moment of C9 ended up being completely exploited by the
Academy team – Zven. Understanding the fact about how much power that the
champion mid laner possessed, Nxi and Triple sought to make Zven’s time in this
game miserable. Although, the Twisted Fate pick looked stunning in the draft.
But looking at gray screens every time he respawned reduced the effectiveness
of that map.
Fudge
seemed to be the savior for the C9. He tried to implement all possible
techniques available on Akali in the attempt to solo carry. Since all that gold
was focused on one player, turned out to him becoming the prime target for the
FLY squad. This was especially when Zven was completely removed from the
picture. Fudge tried his best to score few kills and had secured the coveted
pentakill. But when the FLY invested in Guardian Angels and their crowd control
became online, Fudge was just a small hurdle for the underdogs to step
over.
This
achievement marks the first victory of FLY since week two. Continuing their tie
with CLG following their victory over TSM. C9 remains in third place.
