The VALORANT Conquerors Championship (VCC) is the only
opportunity for South Asian teams to qualify for the APAC Last Chance
Qualifier, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2021 qualifying event. The VCC
winner will play against teams from South Korea, Japan, China, and Southeast
Asia. The winner of the APAC Last Chance Qualifier will be guaranteed a spot on
the VCT 2021, VALORANT's most prestigious event of the year.
The top four teams in the VCC will compete for the crown
this weekend after months of online regional qualifiers and group stage
matches.
The VCC playoffs commenced on August 27th and
will conclude on August 29th, 2021. The top four teams in the region
will battle for a piece of the $33,000 prize pool as well as a spot in the VCT
APAC Last Chance Qualifier.
The four teams that qualified for the VCC Playoffs are as
follows:
1. Team Exploit
Team Exploit qualified for the main tournament by winning
the VCC Pakistan & Afghanistan Qualifier #2. They qualified for the
Playoffs by defeating Clash Landing On
You and Velocity Gaming in the
group stage. In the group round, Team Exploit upset Velocity Gaming, one of the
favourites to win the tournament. They will be the only Pakistani team in the
Playoffs, and one of the favourites to win the championship.
2. Global Esports
In the VCC India Qualifier #2, Global Esports defeated Team XO to qualify for the main tournament.
They qualified for the Playoffs by defeating Damaru Gaming and Enigma
Gaming in the group stage. Global
Esports is one of the region's most powerful teams. In the group stage,
they were undefeated in both games. The squad will also want to be dominant in
the playoffs.
3. Velocity Gaming
Team Exploit
stunned Velocity Gaming in a group
stage tie, relegating them to the bottom bracket. Velocity Gaming advanced to the Playoffs, though, after defeating Exceeli Esports. For quite some time, Velocity Gaming has ruled the Indian VALORANT
scene. They'll now play against the region's best teams for a chance to compete
in VCT.
4. Enigma Gaming
The last team to qualify for the VCC Playoffs is Enigma Gaming. After losing against Global Esports, they were relegated to
the bottom bracket. They did, however, advance to the Playoffs after
eliminating Pakistan's champions, Salt
Esports, in the elimination match.
