After missing out on the first three weeks of the 2021 LCS Summer Split, Cloud9 has reintroduced AD carry Zven to their starting League of Legends squad. The announcement was made earlier today via a tweet that simply stated, "He's back," and included a photo of Zven.

The squad had been playing with K1ng, a first-year LCS
player, as the ADC, while Zven was relegated to the Academy league to hone his
talents. Zven put up huge stats during his limited time in the Academy league.
According to League analytics site Oracle's Elixir, his 64 kills and 10.5 KDA
across 12 games lead all players in the North American Academy scene during his
brief stay.
Meanwhile, in the LCS, C9 has a 4-5 record through nine
games this summer, and they are now on a three-game losing streak after going
win-less last weekend against Evil Geniuses, Immortals, and TSM. During his
nine games on the professional stage, K1ng put up a respectable performance,
finishing seventh among all LCS players with a 5.8 KDA.
The squad was in first place at the start of the split.
However, C9 dropped to third place following a humiliating loss to TSM on
Sunday, June 20th.
Zven became the first LCS starter to be benched by a
competitive squad this summer on May 29th. Big-name stars across the
league, such as Soligo, Dardoch, Alphari, and others, were all benched in
favour of Academy-level talent after his benching caused a wave of professional
League players being sat down by their companies.
Since last month's Mid-Season Invitational, Zven
has not played in a game with C9's core squad. On Friday, June 25th,
2021, C9 will play Golden Guardians in their first LCS encounter.
