Even after losing to FaZe Clan in the VCT Challengers 3 grand finals, his success against Luminosity Gaming was still making waves around the world. The victory gave 100 Thieves the 2-0 advantage they needed to advance to the grand finals against FaZe Clan.

ASUNA SHOCKS FANS WITH INSANE 1V3 CLUTCH

Asuna was left alone against three Luminosity Gaming foes after Ethan "Ethan" Arnold, Spencer "Hiko" Martin, Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, and Joshua "steel" Nissan all went down fast.

The spike was already in place, and the defenders were 100 Thieves.

Asuna got his first kill in Kaleb "moose" Jayne, then followed it up with a headshot on Diondre "YaBoiDre" Bond, not long after his teammates were knocked out.

Finally, he used Raze's ultimate skill, Showstopper, to get a blind kill on Brady "thief" Dever by firing his Blast Pack over the top of the crate.

Asuna had a host of other standout performances over the weekend, including an incredible clutch. During the match against Luminosity Gaming, he hit two ACEs, and the day before, he pulled off a massive clutch against NRG Esports.

Despite having only, a little Counter-Strike experience, the 17-year-old Asuna is looking like one of the best in the world.

Asuna's name began to trend on Twitter after his amazing clutch and numerous outstanding plays against Luminosity Gaming and NRG Esports.

Despite their loss to FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves are still a team to be reckoned with heading into Masters. There's no telling how invincible Asuna and Hiko would be on match day, given their ability to run wild and make clutch plays.

They will battle for points that will qualify them for Valorant's first world championship event during the VCT Masters tournament.

Anyone who follows the Valorant competitive scene on Twitter was inundated with people gushing about Asuna's individual abilities. People were optimistic heading into the match against FaZe Clan that 100 Thieves would win, but they lost the grand final match 3-0.
