Vancouver Titans defeated Boston Uprising in a clean 3-0 sweep. This accounts for the first win for the Titans in the 2021 Overwatch League season. This stands as the first victory in nearly a year. While the franchise which is struggling is unlikely to make a 1-12 record in the leagues postseason.  They have finally delivered one great boon to fans and that is free breadsticks.

For the past few months, Vancouver Titans fans were waiting for the team to score some free breadsticks through the way of Pizza Hut Canada. This started as a simple sponsor collaboration. Later in the 2021 season, it quickly turned out to be one of the most entertaining storylines.

The storyline behind the breadstick is that when the season kicked off in April 2021, the Vancouver Titans announced their partnership with Pizza Hut Canada and this has turned into one of the most popular storylines of the 2021 Overwatch League season. The team has a chance to earn fabled free breadsticks to fans and they succeeded eventually.

When the first map came to an end against Boston Uprising, the Titans had already earned breadsticks. Thanks to a double Pulse Bomb Elimination from DPS Dalton Bennyhoff and the Wrecking Ball Piledriver kill. Dalton has been Vancouver’s savior throughout the series. His signature Tracer to defeat Boston’s Orisa-focused composition. He has been awarded the title of Player of the Match for his extreme efforts.

Vancouver Titans gained an advantage over Boston’s slow-moving comps with high damage Pharah attacks on Hanamura. This was the final map of the series. The Uprising tried their best to defend, forced the map to the fifth round. But there was a lack of adjustments from the defender which caused the Titans to go forward and secure their first victory.

This has been one of the interesting matches in the season as Vancouver Titans’ last Overwatch League victory was nearly a year ago. It was in August 2020 and was a 3-0 series against the Boston Uprising.
