Right after concluding The International 10 Battle Pass season on 9th October 2020, Valve announced Spectre as this year’s Arcana Vote winner.

Arcana vote was added few years ago by Valve which allowed players to vote for their favourite heroes and decide on which hero would receive an Arcana item set. Arcana item bundle comes with an extensive customization including icons, animations, cool sounds and many more. Each player who owns a battle pass gets a chance to vote for their favourite hero once a week. Based on the number of votes accumulated by each hero, they are either dropped from the battle or advanced to the next round. 

In the final battle between two of the purple heroes in the Dota 2 pool, Spectre vs. Faceless Void, Spectre seized the victory with a huge margin of about 2.5 million votes. Nearly 52.5 million fans participated in the voting; Spectre garnered around 27.5 million votes whereas Faceless Void settled close to 25 million votes. Spectre is crowned as the sixth winner of the Arcana Vote. In the past Phantom Assassin, Juggernaut, Zeus, Pudge, Rubick, and Ogre Magi bagged the Arcana Vote.

Currently, Spectre’s appearance is relatively simple. Valve may go into different directions to provide a complete makeover to Spectre in the new release. Can’t wait to see the next release!
