Sentinels won the first LAN event in Valorant's history on May 30th , 2021 without dropping a single map, defeating Fnatic in a close 3-0 victory that
involved two maps going to overtime.
With a 9-0 map record, the North American champions defeated
the best of the best from across the world, including EU representative Fnatic
(twice), Brazilian powerhouse Team Vikings, and Korea's NUTURN gaming.
The only time the Sentinels came close to dropping a map was in the finals against a revamped Fnatic, who swept the lower bracket with a score line of 2-0 against X10 Esports, Version1, and Team Liquid, and forcing TenZ, Dapr, and the rest of the team to overtime on both Split and Bind.

TenZ isn't the only one capable of fragging; ShahZaM, the IGL of the Sentinels, completed four clutches out of eleven opportunities during the match.
Despite MAGNUM's best efforts, including being Fnatic's top fragger with 65 kills during the finals, Sentinels' spot at the top of Valorant was secured by an unfortunate team flash after Derke's double kill.

Sentinels have earned a spot in Valorant Champions, the ultimate showdown scheduled for the end of 2021, which means they'll have more time to focus on strategies and researching the meta without the burden of having to perform to earn their spot.
