Blizzard released two updates for Overwatch in a week. First release went live on November 17, 2020 and the second release arrived on November 19, 2020. Here is the breakdown of each release.

Update - November 17, 2020

To celebrate the release of Christie Golden’s new Overwatch short story, Stone by Stone, Overwatch has announced Symmetra’s Restoration Challenge. The challenge is available through November 30, you get a chance to earn limited-time rewards by winning games and watching Overwatch on Twitch. The release also included game changes, hero updates and bug fixes as below.

⦁ Custom Game Maps now include Workshop Green Screen.  

⦁ Baptiste’s Amplification Matrix, one of the most powerful ultimate abilities in Overwatch, width has been increased to 9 meters from 5 meters.  

⦁ Lúcio’s Wall Ride received an ability adjustment. By default, Lúcio will now deploy his Wall Jump boost right after releasing Jump to leave the wall. This setting can be changed from Lucio's settings page -> Wall Jump On Release. Also, you can cancel wall rides by pressing Crouch.

⦁ Wrecking Ball’s Grappling Claw now has improved target detection and is more consistent while connecting to walls. 

⦁ Competitive No Limits mode has been introduced to Overwatch for the first time. As per this mode you will be able to earn competitive points and skins while playing games without any restrictions on hero selection!

⦁ Blizzard has rolled out a new feature- Minimum Latency Support. This feature allows you to set a target latency for Custom Games and the Blizzard system will try to level all players within a certain latency range to keep matches nice and fair.


Update - November 19, 2020

This release focused on hero balance change. Highlights:

⦁ All Support Heroes have been updated to not to say “Group up with me” when they are missing health and request healing.

⦁ Ana’s Biotic Grenade Projectiles now pierce through allies even with full health.

⦁ Considering Brigitte’s self-healing and barrier ability, her base health has been reduced from 175 to 150.

⦁ Hanzo’s Storm Arrows can now be cancelled manually. 

⦁ Mei’s Ice Wall can now be manually destroyed while dead.

⦁ Moira’s healing resource consumption rate has been reduced from 14 to 12.5

⦁ Symmetra’s Teleporter can now be manually destroyed while dead.

⦁ Torbjörn’s turret can now be manually destroyed while dead.
