Atlanta FaZe and Florida Mutineers have finished and survived the first stage of the 2021 CDL (Call of Duty League) Stage Three Major held on May 13th, 2021. They now proceed to the second round of Winners Bracket and are supposed to take out on Toronto Ultra and the New York Subliners.

 

The Dallas Empire and Los Angeles Thieves lost in the first round of Winners Bracket, who had made it to third place in their respective groups in Stage Three. Although, they have not been eliminated. Both the teams will have rough roads to reach the grand finals.


Atlanta FaZe entered Call of Duty Stage Three Major and they did not disappoint. In their first round of the tournament, FaZe swept Dallas Empire 3-0 and banished the popular team to go to Losers Bracket of the CDL Stage Three. The Atlanta outfit began the series with a 41-point victory on Apocalypse - Hardpoint. The Empire tried their best to tie the series on Checkmate Search and Destroy but they failed. Crimsix ended the game without a kill. Meanwhile, FaZe’s star duo Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris, and McArthur “Cellium” Jovel combined for 21 of their team's 27 kills in a 6-1 victory. Although a closer result, to conclude the series, FaZe pulled off a victory on Garrison Control.




Florida Mutineers and Los Angeles Thieves played in the second Winners Bracket. Although the first match remained one-sided, the Mutineers and Thieves remained close in each of the four maps they played.

 

The series was started by Mutineers with a narrow 250-233 victory on Checkmate Hardpoint to gain the first map. This was led by rookie Travis “Neptune” McCloud captured the first two maps by slim margins. Neptune ended the game with 35 kills and then pulled off the two-vs-four ace in the last round. Even though, letting Checkmate Control slip away, Florida won 250-216 on Moscow Hardpoint and then advanced to the Winners Bracket semifinals.
