Riot Games on March 23rd, 2021 passed a competitive verdict that fined 100Thieves a $ 5,000 fine for delaying their VCT Masters quarterfinals match against Immortals by one hour. Also, Head coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario is being placed on competitive probation for the rest of the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour because of demonstrating “unprofessional behavior” toward a tournament official. Any further violations during FrosT's probation are considered a second offense and may include a ban from competitive play.

According to Riot Games, 100 Thieves disagreed with tournament officials on the server selected and entered the shooting range to prevent the match from starting. Teams and tournament officials often work together to find a server more equidistant to both parties. But the 100 Thieves disagreed with the authorities' decision and delayed the start of the match. According to the Riot Games, FrosT later joined the Discord Channel to talk to the tournament official and treated them in an "unprofessionally manner."

As per Riot Games, 100 Thieves violated three rules from VALORANT competitive policies. Namely:

  1.  Starting the match on time
  2. Maintaining the highest standards of personal integrity and good sportsmanship
  3. Complying with the decisions of tournament officials

100 Thieves responded to Riot Games’s ruling on Twitter with a statement and a video showing a discussion with the tournament official from FrosT’s perspective. 100T disagreed with the ruling and mischaracterization of the incident after they complied with the investigation.
