The Toronto Ultra has confirmed and announced that they will be retaining its current Call of Duty League roster that includes CleanX, Bance, Cammy, Insight through its 2023 CDL season.

The decision made by Toronto Ultra is not surprising because they finished the Call of Duty League regular season in second place and secured the runner-up place in the CDL Playoffs in August. Toronto Ultra also joins the other two teams i.e.  Minnesota RØKKR and Atlanta FaZe to continue with the same roster when they head towards the 2022 Call of Duty League season. Also, it can be seen that Minnesota RØKKR and Atlanta FaZe are the only two organizations that achieved at least one championship during the 2021 Call of Duty League season.

Toronto Ultra will be moving into the 2022 season with a great team and high expectations. Although, they had a disappointing start in the 2021 season. Toronto Ultra decided to get Insight in the place of Methodz in March. And this step paid the dividends quickly, with Toronto defeating Atlanta FaZe to achieve victory in the CDL Stage Two Major, April. Having Insight as an addition to the roster, Toronto Ultra was able to reach the top contender.

When Toronto Ultra failed to defeat the Atlanta FaZe again, they were the only team that tend to give Atlanta FaZe a tough competition in 2021. Atlanta defeated Toronto in the grand finals, 5-3. But the entire series was a very tough road in every way. If few more matches went on Toronto Ultra’s way, the championship could have easily found its way north of the border.

Considering all the facts that happened so far including rumors and confirmed moves that occurred this offseason, the Toronto Ultra roster has been the best in the entire Call of Duty League. Insight, who tends to be a slower and disciplined AR, and Cammy being the fast-paced flex gives the team the best AR combinations. Also, CleanX’s aggressive, fast-paced playstyle tends to be a perfect match with Bance having slow nature gameplay.

The start date for the 2022 Call of Duty League is yet to be announced.
