TNC Predator hasn't played in a Dota 2 tournament since the completion of the regular season of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit earlier this month. The organization has now formally declared that its squad would be on sabbatical for an extended period of time in order to “recharge and realign.”

There are no roster changes planned, and the organization intends to keep the squad intact beyond the TI10 contests, with plans to reassemble after a break to prepare for a post-TI10 series of tournaments and the 2022 DPC. TNC took this choice after failing to qualify for The International 10 after placing second in the Southeast Asia last-chance qualifiers.

After missing the first Major of the year, the team recruited Marvin "Boomy" Rushton and Jun "Bok" Kanehara to its squad mid-season and performed well at the WePlay Esports AniMajor. That wasn't enough to qualify them into TI10, as they finally lost in the regional qualifiers grand finals against Fnatic.

After missing the TI10 boat, fans began to wonder when TNC will compete again, especially since the team was not included in the Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 7 lineup for SEA.

The squad will not compete together for a while while they spend time with their families and take a holiday, according to the organization.

TNC stated that a lot has occurred since the pandemic broke out, and they want the players to take advantage of this opportunity to spend with their families, take a much-needed rest, and prepare for the next great fight. They further said that fans won't see them playing Dota anytime soon, but they'll be providing support for the remaining Filipino players and Southeast Asian teams vying for the TI10 Aegis.

Tims has been playing with Neon Esports in a few tournaments over the previous several weeks, thus the players might still appear as stand-ins for other teams throughout the hiatus. During this time off, however, the organization will concentrate on content.
