Peter “ppd” Dager will serve as the team's strategic coach
for the remainder of the season. This will be his first official involvement
with any roster since leaving Sadboys at the end of the first DPC season and
stating that he was unsure of his competitive future.
Alliance’s Dota captain
Gustav “s4” Magnusson said that it was cool to bring in Peter in the coaching position
since he always wanted to play with him. He further said that ppd is very
straightforward and calm, so it will help the team to make good calls in-game
when the pressure gets high. Alliance team will continue captaining and
drafting, but ppd, as one of the best drafters in Dota 2, will have a
significant impact there as well.
Prior to the 2021 DPC, ppd spent the majority of 2020 away
from Dota, leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas and retiring for a short time to pursue
other interests.
Now, he joins the Alliance squad that is vying for a spot at
The International 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the hopes
of providing the best possible conditions for the players to perform.
Peter “ppd” Dager thanked the team and s4 for believing in
him. He further said that coaching was something he always wanted to try and he
is grateful for the opportunity.
Aliance now has three TI winners namely Alliance CEO Jonathan
“Loda” Berg, s4, and ppd.
