Clayster makes his return to the New York Subliners’ starting
lineup at right time for the next week’s event in the Call of Duty League
Playoffs. This was announced on August 12th, 2021.
Clayster is a three-time world champion and he has been one of the greatest players in Call of Duty professionals. When the team gave a 0-3 start in Stage Five group play, Clayster said he would be stepping away from NYSL in July. Diamondcon was later filled in the place of Clayster. He gave an outstanding performance in a no-win situation. New York had posted a winning record having Diamondcon in the lineup. It went 3-2 over the five matches. These matches were carried out without Clayster.
Having Clayster returned to New York, who has been a three-time
world champion can be a legal threat at the Call of Duty Playoffs. But it’s not
yet clear whether the team will be able to play in the same way they used to do
earlier in the season. In New York’s lineup that includes Clayster, HyDra,
Asim, and Mack who are incredible when it comes to performance and beating
anyone in the game but at the same time, they will have to find a way to deal
with the potential chemistry issues.
In the end, Clayster still stands as a true veteran in CDL and one
of the greatest leaders in the Call of duty community. It may not be a big deal
if the NYSL came out blowing all the cylinders when they go against OpTic
Chicago in winners round-1 of the CDL Playoffs on August 19. Although, the team
might have a rough road to deal with since they are playing after a month.
Teams like Atlanta FaZe and Chicago have had the same lineup all season but New
York Subliners do not have this comfort.
Clayster has proved this many times that it would be unwise to
cast him out. When the cards are stacked against him and his roster, he comes
out of it on top more often.
Call of Duty Champs 2021 kicks off on August 19th at 2
