The Seattle Surge confirmed their starting squad for the 2022 Call of Duty League season. Seattle's entire roster—both players and coaches—was released in August, and the franchise will now rely on Mack, Accuracy, Sib, and Pred to turn things around in the Call of Duty: Vanguard season. The Surge have struggled terribly since joining the CDL in 2020, with a 16-43 match record over the last two seasons.

After spending the last two seasons in the CDL with the New York Subliners and Minnesota RKKR, Accuracy, who has been participating in CoD since 2013, offers the most experience to Seattle. Mack spent the previous two years with the Subliners, filling in for both the SMG and the AR duties.

Both Sib and Pred will be making their CDL debuts, with Pred joining Seattle after a year and a half with Renegades in the APAC zone. Sib had spent the previous two years as a substitute with the Atlanta FaZe but had never seen action in the CDL. Pred and Sib are exceptional players, but the transfer from Challengers to the Call of Duty League is far from certain.

On September 17th, the squad also announced the hiring of Fenix and Novus as head coach and general manager, respectively. During the 2021 season, Fenix was the head coach of the CoD Challengers squad EastR, and Novus was an analyst with the Los Angeles Thieves.

It's unknown whether this new group of players and coaches can help Seattle recover from its slow start, but the team has a great roster with the appropriate blend of veterans and youth. It may take some time for things to connect, but once they do, this will be a formidable team.
